Pop rapper Nicki Minaj pulled a disappearing act after two New York radio DJ‘s disrespected her!

Hot 97 Summerjam is known for controversy from time to time. Yesterday was just another blemish on the concert after the headlining act pulled out.

It all started when New York’s Hot 97  disc jockey Peter Rosenberg made a comment during the Summerjam pre-festival. Rosenberg  who has a passion for authentic Hip-Hop spoke to the “Hip-Hop” heads in the audience and dissed Minaj in return. Here’s what he had to say:

“I see the real Hip-Hop heads sprinkled in here. I see them. I know there are some chicks here waiting to sing ‘Starships’ later, I’m not talking to y’all right now. F-ck that bullsh-t. I’m here to talk about real Hip-Hop sh-t. People here to see A$AP Rocky today. People here to see ScHoolboy Q on this stage. That’s the sh-t I represent.”

Soon afterwards, Young Money boss Lil Wayne tweeted that his label will not be performing at Summerjam

Nicki followed up with a few tweets of her own

It may have been summer, but Nicki Minaj fans were left in the cold after the fiasco. After citing that “she wouldn’t go against Wayne’s word” Minaj granted her boss wishes and was a no-show. In addition erasing the entire Young Money act plus her special guests.

Flex (the instigator that he is) took shots at Nicki during his set. His Twitter handlers later retweeted the subliminal disses and jabs at Nicki then told everyone to listen to his show tonight at 7:00pm

This isn’t the first time the morning show or the station came under controversy. A few years back, DJ Cipha Sounds (pictured on the left) came under fire after some comments he made about the Haitian community.

Although Rosenberg’s comments were a direct diss, I believe it was a diss on the pop culture in reservation of Hip-Hop.

For the Hip-Hop enthusiasts, the show did have a few highlights. It was a great performance by Nas who managed to bring Lauryn Hill out as a special guest. It felt like the 90′s all over again!

As for Nicki, it looks like she’s taking her behind on a Starship and not returning to New York’s Hot 97 anytime soon!

It appears that Twitter is the universal platform for airing out your differences these days, and Chris Brown took to the social media site in a fit of rage!

Brian McKnight is trying to make a comeback in a unique way.

After receiving heavy criticism for his latest single Let Me Show You How Your Pussy Works, a single off his  ”adult-themed mixtape”, McKnight took to Twitter with a few rants.

During this time, McKnight referenced the Chris Brown beating of Rihanna as “acceptable by fans”. He later “adjusted” his remarks citing he wasn’t talking about Breezy directly.

That didn’t stop Chris from responding as he fired shots angrily at the R&B veteran!

They say any publicity is good publicity and GOOD or BAD, Twitter Beef may be a plus for McKnight. But will the ladies really check out his adult themed mixtape?

I also feel that Chris Brown is so tired of people bringing up the Rihanna situation that if he hears it again he’s liable to slap the taste out of someone’s mouth!

Following the success of his single Daughters and VH1 Documentary: Behind The Music, Nas is taking his act global announcing his European Tour Dates.

In preparation of his upcoming album Life Is Good releasing on July 17th, Nas released the tour info via his website nasirjones.com. He begins in Detroit MI, where he will then cross the pond with 11 tour dates in the UK. He will return state side closing out in New Jersey’s PNC Banks Art Center.

Nas is once again proving why he’s one of the best rappers alive and of all time [for the sake of debate]. His recent single Daughters is getting rave reviews and props for illustrating the love fathers have for their daughters.

Imagine dressing up like your favorite superhero and parading around town as a local celebrity. But what happens when you can’t get the damn paint off?

Paolo Henrique dos Santos is a pool attended from Brazil and all he ever wanted to look like was the Hulk. Now although he had the sized, he lacked the proper shade.

It wasn’t until he applied the proper shade of green haters became GREEN WITH ENVY. There were side effects to the paint however. What Santos didn’t realize was the paint he used to coat his body was a paint used for ballistic missiles and nuclear submarines. [INSERT LAUGHTER HERE]

Santos was forced to buy the brand of paint after the shop he visited ran out of what he used previously. Between 2 days and 20 hours, this fool endured the torture (along with his family) of removing the green pigment from his body.

Most New Yorkers are up in arms about Michael Bloomberg’s ban on sugary drinks, and rightfully so. With all the things that SHOULD be banned in New York, we’ve provided you with most annoying!

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has waged a war on soft drinks. He’s proposed a ban on sugary beverages that exceed 16 ounces. This will include venues such as sports arenas, fast food restaurants, and deli’s. The ban would exclude vending machines, fruit drinks (don’t they contain sugar?), diet sodas, and dairy-based drinks.

If this is approved by the NYC Board of Health (controlled by Mike Bloomberg) this will take effect in March of 2013. But what’s to prevent New York City residents from getting their sugar?

Many fast food chains have soda fountains accessible to the public, so who’s to stop them from filling up their 16 ounce cup continuously? However there are more daunting problems this city faces.

SAGGING PANTS

The “Sagging Pants” phenomenon has plagued urban communities and New York City is no exception. They say the origin of saggy pants was in prison. Anytime a male wanted it to be known he was “available” (cough, gag) he’d sag his pants alerting all the booty bandits in the vicinity.

Now I don’t know if that’s the type of attention these young men want, but I’ll tell you what I don’t want. TO SEE THE COLOR OF YOUR BOXERS IN MY FACE WHILE I’M TAKING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION! Please Michael Bloomberg, you want to ban something in New York, let’s start with the saggy jeans!

EATING ON THE SUBWAY

As a native New Yorker I can understand the fact that when you’re on the go it’s hard to squeeze in your daily nutrition. However when your food extend the size of a burrito or a 6 inch sub, we have a problem! I’ve seen people gulf down 3 course meals while riding the subway.

What’s worse is the terrible aroma that hits you while they open their styrofoam contents. The worse part is when the person decides to sit right next to you! It’s gotten so bad that fights have broken out on the train because of it. Its become an epidemic.

Mayor Bloomberg you claim to be an avid New York City subway rider so surely you’ve witnessed these offenses. Wanna ban that!?!

NEW YORK CITY RATS

If there’s anything that’s synonymous with New York City it’s the rat. I swear it should be the city’s National Mascot because there’s so many of them. I often refer to New York as the “Rotten Apple” due to the amount of trash we leave behind, and who’s there to clean it all up? Not sanitation!

The rat problem has gotten so bad in New York that they’re not even afraid of humans. There was evidence of this when a rat jumped on a homeless man while he was sleeping on the subway train. In his attempt to look for food, the rat jumped in the man’s face who remained unfazed!

I don’t know who’s more filthier, the rat or the homeless guy! Mayor Bloomberg we’ve been dealing with this for years, can we get an exterminator and ban the rats!?!

If you’re like me you’re probably wondering what the hell is going on in the news with the flesh-eating crazies! The month of May might as well have been nicknamed MAY DAY because that’s when this rash (excuse the pun) of weird incidents began.

On May 16th the Huffington Post reported an incident at McArther High School where students and teachers were decontaminated due to an eerie skin rash! Twelve students and two teachers were treated at an area hospital after breaking out with the mysterious rashes.

The incident occurred when 21 students walked from one classroom to another and almost all of them broke out with itchy rashes and hives in the reading room. A Hazmat team was called in to remove the students and investigate. The origin is a mystery and still under investigation.

Four days later, a drunken doctor was arrested for DUI. Nothing eerie about this story right? Well that was until his crazed behavior caused him to bang his head against the car and get this…SPIT BLOOD IN THE OFFICERS EYES! There’s no word whether this Florida man had a dose of bath salt, but his erratic behavior was just the prequel to the epidemic.

In the most bizarre case yet, on Saturday we had our first incident of an actual zombie attack. In Miami, Rudy Eugene attacked a homeless man by the name of Ronald Poppo and consumed 80% of his face! The cause of the attack was the result of bath salt. This not only made Eugene remove his clothing, but unpackage his lunch before consumption.

After being told by police to stop eating the man’s face, Eugene looked up, growled and resumed eating. The effects of the drugs gave the predator super human strength. He continued to eat after being shot 4 times initially. Rudy had lots of time to dine because it took the authorities almost 10 minutes to arrive on scene.

The Zombie craze appears to be spreading North. On Wednesday Hackensack, N.J. police arrived at the home of 43-year-old Wayne Carter after receiving a call that the man was threatening to stab himself with a knife. Upon arrival, Carter ignored the police and began stabbing himself in the neck, chest, and abdomen.

But things got really weird when Carter cut out his own entrails and began throwing them at the officers along with his own flesh! [READ FULL STORY]

A Morgan State University student confessed to investigators that he ingested a man’s heart and brain after his remains were found in the basement. The predator, 21-year-old Alexander Kinyua was arrested a week after the victim Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, 37 went missing. [FULL STORY]

So in the pending wake of a Zombie Apocalypse, will you be ready? I don’t know about you guys but I most certainly will. If you aren’t, here’s a few items you should consider:

Weapons:

When it comes to weapons, you want the most effective long-range and close range your body can handle. For hand to hand combat, Army Knives work well, especially the Rambo knife seeing it can be used as a jabbing tool to thrust in the head of a flesh-eating zombie.

Baseball bats work well, the only problem is you get one good swing to get it right or you’ll be the main course! Handguns are great for taking down flesh eaters within close range, but when you’re ready to blow the limbs off the undead, nothing beats the shotgun, aka THE BOOM STICK!

You would think getting a full scholarship to a Division I school would be the crowning achievement for any black male, not if you’re the son of P. Diddy!

Justin Combs is coming under heavy criticism after receiving a full scholarship in the tune of $54,000 to attend UCLA this Fall. Despite having a GPA of 3.75 and being able to play the sport, that doesn’t seem to be enough. Residents of California feel the “Rich Kid” shouldn’t ride the back of tax payers, and prefer that Daddy, ahem, excuse me DIDDY foot the bill!

The harshest critics feel the money should be awarded to low-income students who cannot afford college and not to the privileged. UCLA spokesman Ricardo Vasquez felt otherwise,

“There’s a misconception out there that somehow athletic scholarships would take away money from low-income students who need need-based aid,” school spokesman Ricardo Vazquez said. “That’s not the case. Athletic scholarships are awarded strictly on the basis of athletic and academic ability.”

Justin also responded to critics last night through a series of Tweets

“Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD. Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started”, he tweeted.

Regardless of who his DIDDY is, Justin not only proved he had the athletic skills to earn a scholarship, but proved himself academically. The standards at which these scholarships are given aren’t based on economic wealth, rather athleticism, so who are we to judge?

Diddy could easily pay for his son to attend, however the scholarship was something Justin earned without the help of daddy, so why shouldn’t he reap the benefits?

The industry lost another legend today, the “Godfather of Go-Go” Chuck Brown today while the music industry mourns.

The Go-Go genre lost one of their pioneers Chuck Brown after being hospitalized for pneumonia. His musical influences spawned many Hip-Hop samples. Not only was he a hit throughout the DMV (DC,Maryland, & Virginia) area, but the country as well.

His most recognizable hit was the 1978 single Bustin Loose which was successfully sampled in 2002. Nelly‘s platinum selling single Hot In Herre derived from Brown’s Go-Go driven beat

Brown was 75-years-old, he will be missed!
