When It Rains It Pours: Chad Johnson Loses Endorsement

Chad Johnson‘s life continues to spiral as he loses his endorsement deal!

The Zico brand coconut water has reportedly dropped Chad Johnson from their roster. Like his marriage, the deal was still in its infancy when it was announced on July 25th.

Now the company is backing out of their deal with the former Miami Dolphin.

“The Zico brand is about supporting naturally powered athletes.” continuing with “We partnered with Chad Johnson because of our great respect for what he has achieved on the playing field.”

“However, in light of recent events involving Mr. Johnson, we have decided to terminate our relationship. The values we espouse, through our employees, our customers and our brand, are central to our mission. We have taken this proactive step to demonstrate just how important those values are.”

Johnson acknowledged his troubles recently when he stated “I haven’t had to tread water in a long time…” via Twitter.

He went on to give an apology to his fans (via his website OCNNReport) and vowed not to say one bad word about Evelyn Lozada because he truly loves her to death.

“I would like to apologize to everyone for the recent events that have occurred.  I would like to wish Evelyn well and will never say anything bad about her because I truly love her to death. I will continue to be positive and train hard for another opportunity in the NFL. To all the fans and supporters I have disappointed, you have my sincerest apologies.  I will stay positive and get through this tough period in my life.”

If there’s anything Johnson is learning it has to be that life can be a humble experience. He’s also vowed to stay positive despite his setbacks.
