Famous 4th of July Birthdays

Today is our nations birthday, along with a few other notables. Here’s some celebrities that share have an Independent Birthday!
Yankees owner George Steinbrenner (1930-2010) was born on the 4th of July. It’s fitting seeing how many fireworks he caused in the Yankee clubhouse. Although the colorful owner wasn’t embraced by many, his passion for the Yankees was illustrated time & time again. There will only be one BOSS!

Keeping it in the realm of sports, former Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis (1929-2010) ironically died the same year as Steinbrenner. Although two different sports, both owners mirrored each other with the love they had for their franchises.
It literally took DEATH TO DO THEM PART before leaving their teams behind.

The man who famously had his nose broken on national television Geraldo Rivera was born on the 4th of July. The controversial journalist turns 69 today and doesn’t look bad for a man knocking on the door of 70. However many people wanted to KNOCK HIM OUT after he made a statement earlier this year blaming Trayvon Martin’s hoodie as the cause of his death.

Leona Helmsley (1920-2007) was a powerful businesswoman whose expertise lied in real estate. She wasn’t very popular amongst New Yorkers or anyone in regards to the matter. Which is why she caused fireworks of her own when she left her fortune, (get this) to her dog! A true bitch indeed!

A more notable celebrity (if you can call him that) to our generation is Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino. This Jersey Shore star turns the BIG 3-0 today and what better way to celebrate than partying? Considering the final season of Jersey Shore is taping right now, “The Situation” is already causing enough fireworks for the upcoming season!
The First Daughter Malia Obama turns 14 today and how fitting is it that she shares her birthday with the country her father serves. If the Obama’s have it their way, Malia will be 18 by the time her father leaves office. Last time the country witnessed a first daughter being raised before their eyes it was Chelsea Clinton. Although I have to admit, Malia is a bit easier on the eyes. (Sorry Chelsea!)
