Busta Rhymes Clears Charlamagne Mix Up
During the BET Awards this weekend, there were rumors that Busta Rhymes “allegedly” putting hands on NYC Power 105.1 radio DJ Charlamagne Tha God. Although there was an altercation, Busta cleared up rumors of the confrontation.
Power 105.1 radio DJ’s Angela Yee, DJ Envy, and Charlamagne took to the airwaves to address the Busta Rhymes incident that happened this weekend. It was reported that Busta was upset with an interview that Wendy Williams did in 2004 about his wife.
I don’t know why Busta would care about something that happened almost a decade ago, but Charlamagne told Busta he wasn’t working with Wendy at that time.
At that point things got heated between the two. Both parties later confirmed that no blows or touching of the hands occurred. Busta dispelled the rumor when he was interviewed by Power 105.1 DJ Malikah Mallette.
“Just so you understand, about me, the way I was conditioned and just the morals and the principles I come from as far as code of ethics. As a man, if there’s an issue, I’m a approach you to discuss it.”
In whether he put hands on Charlamagne this is what Busta had to say:
“I’m not putting my hand on nobody out here, because my kids need that bread, all the time, and I love my family, more than everything!”
Rival morning show HOT 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg hyped up the incident initially spreading the rumors that Charlamagne was mushed by Busta Rhymes.
There’s been an ongoing beef between both stations (HOT 97 & Power 105.1) since the Summerjam incident. The slander continues in an attempt to dominate the New York City airwaves.
