Don Rickles Controversial Joke About Obama

Many people within the Hip-Hop community may be too young to know about comedian Don Rickles. Known for his controversial jokes and racial comedy, he recently made one that didn’t go over too well with the crowd!
The 86-year-old was on hand to honor actress, Shirley MacLaine, at the AFI Life Achievement Awards, Thursday (June 7), when he decided to test his tasteless joke.
”I shouldn’t make fun of the blacks,” he said. “President Obama is a personal friend of mine. He was over to the house yesterday, but the mop broke.”
Now I’m certain Obama wasn’t offended by it, but audience members didn’t take too kindly. Rickles has made jokes in the past about the President. In 2008 he joked about Obama playing basketball in the White House during a David Letterman appearance.
What do you guys think? Is it something to get bent out of shape over?
