Bronx’s Finest French Montana Discusses His Hustle, Marriage, & Drake
It took a while before the Hip-Hop world noticed French Montana, but now the Coke Boys CEO is gaining a lot of attention!
For the past decade Bronx native French Montana was hustling his Cocaine City DVD mixtapes across the country. It took some time but the hard work is FINALLY paying off. Recently, French inked a deal with Bad Boy that heightened his exposure. Although the details of the deal are blurry, his vision is clear: TAKING OVER THE STREETS!
In a recent interview with Complex Magazine, French discussed being in the industry.
It’s been three years since he dropped his last Cocaine City DVD, but French has every intentions on returning to his roots.
“When I shifted to the music, I put the Cocaine shit to the side. You know, out of sight out of mind. I’ve only been focused on rap. But when I come back with it, the fans will be like, ‘Whoa, we forgot he had this.’”
The DVD’s served many purposes. Collaborating with BFF and Harlem native Max B, the mixtape was a platform for new material and showcased new and local artists. His mixtapes also had its share of beef as they continued to war with Harlem native Jim Jones. Will the fans anticipate new product from an old format? French discussed the anticipation the streets are waiting for.
“I think that people will still love it. It’ll still be that potent product. It’s still the stuff you don’t see on TV. People love the controversy.”
French is the LAST person you think would be wifed up. But the BX Hustler has been married for five years and is a proud father. He also dishes out advice on women as well.
Referring to his son ”The most beautiful thing is making him smile,” advice with women:
“Tips? When I holler at women, I just let them know that I’m married and if I get with them, it’s a one night stand. Nah, I’m just joking. [Laughs.] Hollering at ladies—the tips I give people—ladies know what they wanna do when they first speak to you. They already decided if they’re gonna give you some pussy. They’re smarter than you.”
Earlier this month French sat down with New York’s HOT 97 DJ Angie Martinez to discuss his recent success. He also spoke about the beef with Drake and Common. He let everyone know how Drake felt when he revealed that Drizzy wanted to fight Common ON SIGHT!
Never one who’s at a loss for words, expect French’s notoriety to rise in 2012!
