J-Lo’s Fake Fiat Commercial

There’s been some controversy over Jennifer Lopez new Fiat commercial. Jenny may be ‘from the block’ but did she really take a trip down memory lane in the new ad?
Recent revelations proved the hood was HOOD WINKED after confirming pop star J-Lo never stepped foot in the BX for her new Fiat commercial. As a matter of fact, she wasn’t even in the same time zone!
The ad opens with a J.Lo inspired quote “This is my world, this place inspires me,” as she appears to roll through the hood in the compact car. The reality is Lopez shot her scenes in Los Angeles while a look-alike rolled through the streets of the Boogie Down Bronx.
The misconception was citied as a scheduling conflict for Jennifer’s disappearing act. Mark Young who is Jennifer Lopez spokesman said ”I don’t see a problem,” telling the NYPost. ”There are many cases where films are done the same way.”
Maybe so, but if this is Jennifer’s attempt at ‘Keeping it Real’ did she fail?
Being a Bronx resident all my life, my opinion is, if you’re going to market yourself as a BX Native, at least have the decency to step foot in your old stomping grounds. It all gets a little jaded once you go Hollywood and blow up and as much as you want to say “You’re just Jenny from the block,” your actions say otherwise!
