Niggas In Paris Verse “That Shit Kray” Defined

For some time now, I’ve been trying to figure out what the hell is Jay & Kanye referring to when they say “That shit Kray” on Niggas In Paris. After some timely research, I’ve found out!

If you’re like me, you were probably wondering what the HELL is Jay and Kanye talking about when they say “That shit Kray”. The line is a verse from their hit song Niggas in Paris.

As most people thought {including myself} Cray isn’t a derivative from Crazy or Crack. It’s actually spelled “Kray” and in reference to England‘s notorious Kray twins.

The Kray twins were crime lords in the 1950′s and 60′s. Ronald and Reggie Kray were at the forefront of organized crime in London’s East End. The twins were involved in armed robberies, arson, protection rackets, and violent assaults.

It was rumored that Ronnie suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. They were highly feared and became celebrities in their own right. On May 9th, 1968, they were arrested and convicted a year later in 1969.

Ronnie remained in Broadmoor Hospital until his death on March 17th, 1995. Reggie was released from prison on the grounds of compassion in August of 2000. Eight weeks later in October he died of cancer.

THE CONNECTION

The verse “So I ball so hard motherfuckers wanna fine me, but first they gotta find me” is a direct connection to “That Shit Kray” because of the lifestyle the twins lived, and the fact they were so elusive for so many years.

So next time you’re bumping to Niggas In Paris, it’ll be good to know where it came from.

You copied everything from the kray brothers from Wikipedia, the song article on the same website doesn’t mention that’s where it comes from. Stop making a mountain out of a mole hill
