Is The Black Man America’s Next Sex Symbol?
There’s been this hidden subculture of women who love black men, and why not? Black men are more of a commodity these days and becoming quite the accessory.
So I was in Washington Heights and a conversation about black men taking Dominican women came up. I found this both entertaining and flattering, but as we discussed it, I saw the reality of what was being said. Not only is there an attraction from Dominican women, but all race of women as well.
Interracial dating has been a touchy topic for some time now. However despite the negative feedback, there are more interracial couples than ever before. What’s more increasing is the love women of different ethnicities have for the black man.
Khloe and Kim Kardashian who once made an appearance on the Howard Stern Show admitted to their love for the chocolate. Khloe (who is now married to Lamar Odom) was quoted as saying:
“Once you go black, you never go back!”
In many cases this is true. Most women I’ve talked to admitted that there’s more of an attraction than previous relationships. Whether it’s the rumored anatomy or just a change of pace, black men are admired by Black, Asian, Latina, and European women of all types.
From my observation, I believe the attraction derives from three places:
Entertainment, Success and Curiosity.
In the entertainment world, sex sells, and if you’re a black man with a hot body, that makes you a HOT commodity. Women go crazy over rappers and athletes. These guys are usually the #1 draft picks amongst Gold Diggers, and Groupies.
Success is another factor that would attract any woman to a man. What makes it so appealing is that more and more black men are becoming successful. With more black men becoming moguls in music, fashion, and sports, it’s raised the bar on where we were in previous years.
They say Curiosity Killed The Cat, well apparently it hasn’t killed the idea of most women going after them. When it comes to women of different ethnic backgrounds who seek black men, this is usually the main factor. For many ’1st timers’ the experience is fun and challenging.
There’s an amount of ‘Sex Appeal’ and ‘Swag’ black men provide that other men don’t. Not only are we the best looking, but are some of the BEST love makers!

I for one believe yes the is a lot of attraction and chemistry in any interracial relationship, but that’s the choice between two people to enter in such relationship, should you feel its below you, by all means please don’t, stick to your kind

Wow. What utter tripe. While I usually find the discussion of “Is X the new Y??” to be something of an idiotic foray, this sentiment is especially grievous within the article. Not only is it entirely inconsequential to any rational human being as to what society sees as attractive, bu the fact that yourself, a black man, is in favor of something like this boggles the mind. You are essentially advocating the reduction of your own race into an oddity and an exotic prize, something to be “experimented” with by non-black women before the grow up and settle down. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Every article like this further contributes to the deterioration of the black race. Malcolm X would be ashamed.
