BMW’s New 6 Series Coupe

With the New York City Auto Show set to debut April 23rd, there will be a list of MUST HAVE’S on the showroom floor. Not one to be left behind, BMW has released their brand new 6 series Coupe just in time for the occasion. Expected to be released later this year, this model is not only a chick magnet, but a SHOW STOPPER!

When I see a coupe, I immediately think LIBERATION! The 2 door sports car is an illustration of independence and runs parallel to the successful, hard-working, play hard individual who drives it.

BMW’s new 6 series is no exception!

The two upcoming models are the 640i and 650i. For the car enthusiast, the 640i comes equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engine with 320bhp, while the 650i version gets a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8.

Breaking it down in its simplest form, it all comes down to what you’re looking forward to when it comes to performance.

640i will hit 62mph in 5.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 155mph. It also 36.7 mpg for those concerned with gas milage. I modest coupe for those looking for everyday traveling with pizzazz.

650i goes 0-62mph in 4.9 seconds (a tad bit faster than its companion), emits just 243g/km of CO2, and has 27.2mpg. Although more of a gas guzzler, this model compensates for the amount of fuel it must use to power the V8 engine it comes equipped with. If you’re concerned with speed and love taking it up a notch, then this would be the model for you!

Some of the features that both models include is that Start/Stop engine button which I ABSOLUTELY love, electric power steering and brake energy regeneration.

For those who would like to spice their vehicle up, there are some really cool options available. Some of my favorites include the surround sound, DVD changer, TV module, and a USB interface for music and other digital devices (to name a few).
