Wyclef Shot and Hospitalized

SOMEONE PLEASE CALL 911! Ok, that was a bad joke, but Haitian rapper Wyclef was shot in Haiti this morning on Election Day.

The former Fugee member was passing through Delmas when at 11:00pm in Port-au-Prince, a hail of gunfire was showered into the car. Jean was in the car with Busta Rhymes, Jimmy Rosemond and other members of his entourage. No other passengers in the vehicle were injured.

Wyclef suffered an injury to his hand, so it wasn’t fatal. What’s disturbing about the incident is, the Notorious B.I.G was in the same situation 14 years ago and thankfully, Clef didn’t suffer the same fate. He may have to put his guitar down for a while, but at least he’s alive.

Wyclef’s Management also Tweeted his status this morning:

Cousin and former Fugee member Pras commented about the incident on Twitter saying “Yes they shot Wyclef and he’s in the hospital and he’ll be fine. They just shot his hand…” He went on to tweet this morning “Mess with me, I’ll fight back. Mess with my friends, I’ll hurt you. Mess with the ones I love, and they’ll never be able to identify you.”

Well didn’t you find a convenient time to be nice to Wyclef? It was only a couple of months ago you were throwing him under the bus at his run for the President of Haiti. :SHADE:
