Many people have asked, why is Kim and the Kardashians a BIG DEAL? While we’re unable to figure it out, “momager” Kris Jenner has the formula: BRANDING!
Mother and manager Kris Jenner sat down with The Hollywood Reporter and gave details on how the Kardashians gained such valuable assets. Since their 2007 arrival on E! The eight member clan produced three series on the network with a fourth going into production later this year. The family has become a MODERN DAY MONEY MAKING MACHINE with endorsements from QuickTrim, Sears, Sketchers, and Carl’s Jr. just to name a few.
Collectively the family has over 13 million Twitter followers. There’s also their Dash stores which are located in California, Miami, and NYC. Kris has capitalized on the family’s popularity and turned it into profit. In 2010 alone, the family financially eclipsed the likes of Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock, and Tom Cruise. Well how did she do it? How does Kris keep the “Big wheel churning” making the Kardashians a continued success? Here’s a few examples:
Kris gets a 10% earning from Kim and the rest of the Kardashian clan. She demands anywhere between $100-250k for parties and events. If she’s going international, the asking price can balloon up to a million. There’s also a rumor that Kris was able to cement a seven-figure deal for Kim to make multiple appearances at an unnamed Vegas club. I’m just going to go on record and say that club is Tao.
Kim also gets around $25k for tweets about her products. Kim also has seven-figure deals with companies such as Sketchers, QuickTrim, Bebe, Sears, and her own jewelry line. The rest of the family isn’t excluded as Khloe and Lamar Odom have their own fragrances. It’s also rumored that the family have an agreement with certain members of the paparazzi to stage photos and collect bank as well. Scott and Kourtney recently earned $7,500 for poolside photos.
Still wondering how they made $65 million in just one year? I’m not going to lie, the origins of Kim Kardashian were always suspect to me. Until this day, she’s come under flack from the likes of Elton John and many others on not having any talent. However the family has talent, and it’s called CAPITALISM!
