CARMELO ANTHONY TELLS NUGGETS HE’LL ONLY SIGN WITH THE NEW YORK KNICKS!!!

In one of my FAVORITE stories I’ve blogged all week, ESPN is reporting that a source close to the Nuggets is confirming that the All-Star forward will only sign a contract extension if it’s with the New York Knicks!
Today’s win over the Denver Nuggets might as well been an audition for him to play here because the city of New York hasn’t been this excited about the Knicks in over 12 years! Madison Square Garden was rocking today as the New York Knicks won their 8th straight game along with Amarie Stoudamire putting the team on his back breaking a team record of 8 straight games with over 30 points!
But the bigger story here is the future of Carmello. With the trade deadline approaching, sources are allegedly saying that Carmello isn’t signing a long-term contract extension with anyone else other than the Knicks. For those who aren’t basketball savvy, the Denver Nuggets has until February to trade Carmelo Anthony. If they don’t trade him, he will become an unrestricted free agent and is free to sign with any team he chooses.
By now, we all realize Carmello wants to play for New York, so with the ball being in Denver’s court, they may have to negotiate something with New York. The best deal the Knicks can offer is Danilo Gallinari, Landry Fields, a 1st round pick, and unload Eddie Curry‘s contract. All signs are pointing in the right direction for the New York Knicks as they’ve been playing excellent basketball as of late and finally looking like an Eastern Conference contender.
