KIM KARDASHIAN IS DEAD!!!

Well technically NO! However the Socialite and many other celebrities are pledging a digital death to their persona’s in order to promote a cause for HIV and World AIDS Day.

Kim Kardashian, Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake, and Usher have all joined R&B pop star Alicia Keys in her Keep a Child Alive campaign. On Wednesday (Dec. 1st) the celebrities have agreed to sign off on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook in support of World AIDS Day. The celebrities have agreed NOT to sign back on until Key’s charity Digital Life Sacrifice raises $1 million dollars towards her cause.
In a phone interview taped last week, Alicia Keys stated:
“It’s really important and super-cool to use mediums that we naturally are on,” continuing with ”It’s so important to shock you to the point of waking up,” stated Keys.
Along with husband Swizz Beatz, celebrities, such as Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest, Khloe Kardashian, Elijah Wood, and Janelle Monae have all filmed a “last tweet and testament” for the campaign ad. The participants will show them lying in a coffin (as pictured above) illustrating their digital death which will hit the media world as soon as next week.
Kim being the first one to release her ad has already shown her support for the cause and will be joined shortly by sister Khloe Kardashian. I think this is a GREAT cause and a clever way to use the digital world to your advantage. Although I don’t care whether a celebrity tweets or not (as if they respond to me anyway) I believe it’s a great way to get the message across.
