DALLAS MAVERICKS REMAKE KANYE WEST “POWER” VIDEO!!!
So during the Holiday break, the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks had the time to remake Kanye’s West “Power” music video. Also referred to as “moving painting” the video highlights the team’s star Dirk Nowitzki which also features Sean Marion and Jason Kidd. The only thing I could help but wonder was, why wasn’t Maverick’s owner Mark Cuban the centerpiece?

R&B SINGER FAITH EVANS CUTS A DEAL IN DUI CASE!!!
So you guys might remember some time ago R&B singer Faith Evans and the former wife to Brooklyn rapper N.O.T.O.R.I.O.U.S B.I.G caught a DUI charge in L.A. back in August. Well the R&B diva was able to strike deal which will give her “One More Chance!”
It’s been reported that Ms. Evans copped a plea and will receive 36 months of probation. The singer was charged with two counts of DUI but worked out a deal with prosecutors that will have her charges lessened to reckless driving. I don’t know how she pulled that off but in addition to the probation, Faith will have to pay a $300 fine, complete a 3 month alcohol program, and cannot have a trace of alcohol in her system while driving.
Now do you think it’s time to upgrade to a Maybach and get driven everywhere?

DR. DRE SAYS DETOX WILL BE HIS LAST ALBUM!!!
Say it isn’t so? The OFFICIAL word on the street is that Detox will be Dr. Dre‘s last album! The producer/rapper told XXL magazine in their upcoming December issue that he will rap no more after Detox. Although the long-awaited sequel to Chronic 2001 (which will be 12 years as of 2011) will be his last studio album, he will continue to produce and develop artists through his Aftermath label.
Approaching his 46th birthday, Dre has decided to put the mic down and slow it up a bit. In the article he was quoted as saying “The only part that has been pushing me back is just the fact that I’m getting older, and certain things to talk about,” continuing with “”I can incorporate other artists, new artists with this record [Detox], to say some of the things I won’t say. It’s been a little tussle in that area also, just because of age and being able to identify with the younger audience.”
I would assume the RIPE age of 46 is a good year to retire if you’re a rapper, but what gets me is, despite his 30 years in the game, Dre only has 3 studio albums to his credit! I feel like he strung us along between albums ESPECIALLY with the release of Detox, so much to the point that I wasn’t interested anymore. Now that the date is near you spring this on us? One thing I will give to his credit is that he is one of the BEST producers in the game and his presence will still be felt even if he doesn’t pick up a mic!
