BREAKING NEWS: COMEDIAN GREG GIRALDO DIES AT THE AGE OF 44!!!

Comedy Central Comedian Greg Giraldo passed away today (Sept. 29th) after being hospitalized from an accidental prescription-drug overdose. According to TMZ.com the overdose had not been suicidal and Giraldo was hospitalized after collapsing late Saturday evening. The comedian was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey when friends discovered him in his Hotel room after a failed appearance at the area’s Comedy club. Confirmation came via twitter when friend and fellow Comedian stated:
“Greg Giraldo passed away today. This is the last photo of us together, taken June 28 at Noam’s wedding. RIP buddy.”

Before becoming a comic, Giraldo worked as a lawyer graduating from Columbia University and attending Harvard Law School. Many of you may remember him as a judge on Comic Last Standing and appearing in Comedy Central’s Roasts of Flavor Flav, Pamela Anderson, and most recently David Hassellhoff (to name a few). Plans for the Memorial Service will be made by Giraldo’s family when they become available.
